Old Version
Widows 2.10 was released on May 27, 1988. Windows / 286 and Windows / 386 are two different edition of it that were specifically designed for Intel 80286 and Intel 80386 processors. The variants are different from the features in the 286 and 386 processors. From this version, hard disk is required to install the Windows operating system.
In Windows 2.x versions, the GUI, features, and performance has been improved. Now, this version of the Windows operating system supports application overlapping one another instead of displaying apps in the tiled window. Microsoft added some more useful features in this version that speed up the work, such as keyboard shortcuts, window max / minimal, desktop icons etc. The control panel makes its first appearance in Windows 2.0.
