MX Linux MX-23.4 "Libretto" was released in Sep, 2024, preceded by MX-23.3, and was available for desktop / laptop computers. The MX-23.4 is based on the Debian 12.7. 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x86-64) versions are available for the MX-23.4. Compared to previous releases, this MX Linux version include some new updates, such as brings enhancements, bug fixes, and updated applications based on Debian 12.7 "Bookworm". Key changes include updates to Xfce 4.18, improved functionality in MX PackageInstaller with visible installed packages, and improved encryption support in MX-live-usb-maker, which now defaults to LUKS2 for live USB encryption. The release also updates Pipewire setup for KDE users, provides a toggle for the plasma-discover systray updater, and includes new tools like job-scheduler on Fluxbox. AHS users get updated firmware, and all ISOs now have the latest kernel versions, with AHS using the 6.10.10 Liquorix kernel. Language updates and new applications are available, as well as an updated MX Raspberry Pi Respin.
