Manjaro Linux 23.1.2 was released in January, 2024, this version was preceded by 23.1, and was available for desktop / laptop computers. It is available to install on 64-bit CPU platform. Compared to previous releases, this Manjaro version includes many new updates and features, such as updated kernel, which provides increased stability and performance.
This update brings several enhancements, including a kernel update for improved system stability and performance, an upgrade to systemd version 254.3 for advanced system management, and an upgrade to version 23.1.7.18 of Mesa, fixing issues with the AMD 780M GPU.
Specifically, the update introduces Phosh and Phoc into upstream packages, refining the desktop experience, while LibreOffice-Still (7.5.6) and LibreOffice (7.6.1) enhancements address productivity needs. KDE Plasma (5.27.8) and Frameworks (5.110.0) receive updates, enhancing the user interface and functionality, while Firefox (117.0.1) ensures secure web browsing. Pipewire (0.3.80) enhances audio and video handling, and Thunderbird (115.2.2) provides an improved email client.
Additionally, regular updates for KDE-Git, Haskell, and Python maintain software compatibility and security, as well as provide users with an optimized and up-to-date computing environment.
