Latest Version
Fedora 44 Workstation 64-bit is the April 2026 release of Fedora Linux for desktop users, developers, and advanced home users who want a current upstream software stack. It targets modern x86-64 PCs and is also accompanied by ARM64 builds across the Fedora 44 release family for supported hardware.
This release continues Fedora’s focus on early access to newer Linux technologies, with refreshed package versions, updated desktop integration, and continued improvements in installer reliability, hardware detection, and system performance. Fedora 44 Workstation is designed around the GNOME desktop and benefits from current graphics, input, and power-management components. Compared with the previous cycle, users can expect incremental improvements to the desktop session, better defaults for Flatpak and container workflows, and broader compatibility with newer laptops and peripherals. For users tracking the broader platform, the release sits alongside related variants such as Fedora 43, Fedora Server, and the current Fedora Linux documentation set.
Fedora 44 is supported for roughly 13 months from release, so maintenance is expected to end in May 2027. It is not an LTS release.
