Description

Debian 13.6 Trixie was released on July 11, 2026, as a stable point release for desktop users, developers, system administrators, and server operators. This official 64-bit ISO supports amd64 PCs and is also available through Debian’s ARM64 AArch64 port for compatible devices.

Debian 13.6 consolidates current security corrections and important bug fixes into refreshed installation media, reducing the number of updates required after setup. The release continues Debian 13’s stable software base, broad hardware support, reproducible packaging practices, and access to thousands of packages through the APT package manager. Users can install a desktop environment such as GNOME, KDE Plasma, Xfce, Cinnamon, MATE, or LXQt, or deploy a minimal command-line system for servers and containers. The installer supports network installation, offline installation images, firmware-assisted hardware setup, encrypted storage, software RAID, logical volume management, and guided or manual disk partitioning. Debian 13.6 can be installed alongside Windows, upgraded from earlier Debian releases, or used as the foundation for specialized systems.
