Description

There are three different versions of Windows 3.0, the first was released on May 22, 1990, the second update was 3.0a released on December 1990, and the last is Windows 3.0 with Multimedia Extensions, which was released on October 1, 1991. All versions are attached in the download menu, select the file you want to download.

Windows 3.0 was a highly successful version. It is a 16 bit operating system, which has been optimized for Intel 286 and 386 processors. 3.0 includes a number of improvements in the graphical user interface, the default MS-DOS executive file manager comes with Windows 1.x and 2.x, has now been replaced with the Program Manager in this version, which allows easy to manage interface with icons.

Windows 3.0a fixes past bugs, and improves programs.

Windows 3.0 with Multimedia Extensions included many new multimedia applications like Media Player, Music Box and Sound Recorder. This version supports sound cards and CD-ROM drives.
